One of the most challenging things is watching your loved ones being sick/struggling and there is nothing you can really do to help. All you can do is hold your babies and be there ❤
My entire household has the same thing! I got the email from my boys school that there’s is a respiratory illness outbreak at their school, I had the stomach flu symptoms now the respiratory symptoms and everyone else has had the fevers and respiratory symptoms, 4 sick kids and 3 sick adults it’s been a long week to 😢 hope you guys feel better soon!! We have a Advil and Tylenol shortage here in Canada so it’s been so hard
Just when you think they are on the mend it’s like it comes back. My son who attends daycare has had this damn cough for what feels like a month and just this past week ended up with a fever, etc. It’s just all over 😢

You talking about this took me back to a flu bug myself and my 4 had together. Blankets on floor in living room where we all just lay there waiting for the next round. It felt like the sun came out when we all felt better! Soon it will all be better🙂🌻

I was fine again after a week, but she’s been on and of for weeks!! 🥺 so I’m guessing it’s a thing all over, we live in Norway. Hope everyone gets better soon!

Ughhhhh we have been so sick for the last few months. We seem to catch everything since we had covid. I think it made our immune system weaker. I don't know if that's possible, but it sure feels like it BIG TIME!!

We've had the same thing here. My oldest (just turned 4) has absolutely been hit the hardest. My 2 yr old has had a major runny nose for weeks. I've never been ill for this long!
Good evening Rachelle, I have been thru the virus. Mine ended up being a Severe HEAD cold. The only thing that helped me was 2 large bottles of NYQUIL. I was drinking it every 2 hours. I am praying that you guys all make it thru this nasty bug. Kiss the babies for me MISSY from OHIO

Omg the mist is so much easier then the other bottle with the nose spray cause I recently couldn’t find the mist and had to buy the bottle one and I HATED IT and am trying so hard to find the mist spray! I wish you could vlog while going through the sickness just so everyone could see they are not alone in it but I understand why you don’t. ❤since you live in Cali and have nice weather try opening some windows to air out the house. Here in NY it was 23 degrees in the morning and I opened the window cause I couldn’t take not airing out the room I was in then got yelled out because everyone else started to freeze and couldn’t understand why and then I closed the window and they caught me 😂! So then I got yelled at what are you crazy it’s freezing out there why would you bring the cold air in here BLAH BLAH BLAH! Lol . HOPE EVERYONE IS ON THE MEND!

My kids are 18 months apart. My son broke his arm 4 weeks after his sister was born. My daughter was crazy small when she was little. 13.4 lbs at a year and 28 lbs when she started school at not quite 4. I took my daughter to the emergency room when she stopped eating and drinking when she had a virus at 20 months. They showed me how to wrap her in a blanket to administer Tylenol, and give her water every few minutes. She spit it back at me. I insisted she be adtmited for 2 days with I’ve fluids to help her. She is 18 now and still tiny but she’s in nursing school and she a force. It’s so hard having little ones, especially so close in age, but you will get through.
My daughter (3.5 years old) had a horrible respiratory bug and I called her Dr and because she's 40 lbs they said she can take children's mucinex 1 teaspoon. It helped some but I did the honey too which worked at night! Hope you all feel better soon, it's been a rough year for sickness 😷

My son got strep twice and with the second time he got thrush , I got so lucky my daughter didn't get anything. I'm not feeling so well either but it's more of women issues at that point lol. He's slowly healing. Hope your little ones feel better soon :(

My daughter and I were sick for two and a half weeks and it was tough, she suffered rib pain for 4 weeks after it and was in agony and said it was worse than her experience with covid (i know that varies for everyone. Hope you are all feeling better soon, its tough as a Mom and Dad but youre doing a great job
My best friend has 6 kids & in October they had whatever y’all have & it lasted almost 3 weeks over 2 weeks with fevers 😢 same symptoms. 10 people in her household all had it. Hopefully y’all get better soon.
What helped me the most with respiratory issues was inhalation. We had a Pariboy (don’t know if they’re available worldwide) for that. You put NaCl and, if needed, medication in it, put a mask over your nose and mouth area and turn ist on. It diffuses the water and works wonders with stuffy nose or coughs

Your observations about thermometers are spot on! Forehead ones are the least accurate. Ear ones are better but can be inaccurate in little ear canals / waxy ears. Digital probes are the best, albeit a bit harder to use! (I'm a Dr and in paeds ED we generally advise to avoid forehead thermometers). Hope you're all on the mend!
Sorry to hear everyone has been so sick. Not an old wives tale ... keep cans of peaches in heavy syrup in your pantry. When throwing up starts drink a tablespoon of the syrup. If it stays down, do another tablespoon every 15 minutes for an hour or so and then switch to water and crackers. Something in the heavy syrup coats and calms the stomach and makes the vomiting stop. Also alternating Tylenol and Motrin will help break the fever quicker sometimes. Prayers for all to feel better soon.
There are so many respiratory viruses going around.. flu, covid, RSV, Enterovirus and Adenovirus. My family is getting over this right now and my 4 yr old was the worst off out of the 4 of us. Many of these viruses can take 2 weeks to resolve and even then some can have a cough longer. Hoping you all get better soon!

I give both Tylenol and motrin to my kids when they have fever 🤒.. take both .. it helps alot and they get better so fast too and I dont wait for the fever to come back. I give them every 3 hrs even if the fever is not back yet ..

I had to test for covid cause I had all the symptoms same with my son. My son and I came back negative and have a REALLLY bad cold. He was more sick then covid.
Also, in Australia we just came out of Winter and it was horrendous sickness wise. Covid yes, but colds and rsv were rampant everywhere. So many hospitalisations and sick days (pretty much everyday)

You really should have tested for Covid. We are still in the Pandemic, it's not gone. Just because you've had it previously doesnt mean you won't get it again.

Took my grand daughter to the doctor with 103.7 fever and no other symptoms they told us she tested positive for covid then we all ended up with it but with vomiting and cough sneezing upset stomach it's lasted over a week now

Mothers bliss has a cough med for babes like age 4 months plus. I used it!! 100% I used it. Yes he’s 2 months. I asked, the ped looked at the ingredients and said yes..go for it. It was good!!!!! And zarbees for the older kids. It’s a god send. But the baby cough med is agave syrup because they can’t have honey…so good.
Hopefully you all feel better soon it suck my whole house is getting it one after the other so two weeks for us so far and the shortage of Tylenol and Advil sucks

Both my grandsons (ages 5 and 3) were sick with RSV and it took over a week for the fever to go away and another week for them to get back to normal
There was an entire high school in my area that had this. I think i saw like 1500 kids were sick just where I live. I hope you all feel better soon.

Mothers bliss has a cough med for babes like age 4 months plus. I used it!! 100% I used it. Yes he’s 2 months. I asked, the ped looked at the ingredients and said yes..go for it. It was good!!!!! And zarbees for the older kids. It’s a god send. But the baby cough med is agave syrup because they can’t have honey…so good.
Hopefully you all feel better soon it suck my whole house is getting it one after the other so two weeks for us so far and the shortage of Tylenol and Advil sucks
