I can 100% relate to this song. Spent more than 2 years trynna make this one girl mine, was not lovers officially but I've put massive effort to it. Then one day, she just dissappeared, cant be reached, and that time was one of the saddest times i had in life. I moved on months later , dated someone else and the girl who left me texted me out of the blue, telling me she misses me and told me she was still healing from the heartbreak she had months before we met. So Charlie's "Dont give ur heart to a girl whos still got a broken one" makes fucking sense. But then i just had to say no, cause i love my then girlfriend (now wife) and i am very committed to take care of the relationship. and then she dared to say that i wasnt serious enough to wait for her if i love her. and i was like. THATS HILARIOUS. Regardless, Im a happy married man now, and stuff like this happens because sometimes its just not meant to be.

This literally made me cry... Going through so much in the past years (especially with COVID-19). This honestly made my day. Thank you. 🥰

I absolutely adore Charlie Puth!!!! He have strong impressive vocals! I’m always amazed by the harmonies, the melodies and how he can do it all by himself. Shivering vocals for real.
But I’m wondering... can he write songs that’s not about how women treat him badly?? They always are vilainized in his lyrics and I would like for him to be more original and to show us that he’s made introspection and reflected on himself more.
