Look of disgust on Mikey's face - he knows that guys leg is ruined, but he had to do it.
I think there needs to be a new ruleif the ref thinks something is obviously broken and the uke is just not tapping from willpower(sometime stupidity) or adrenaline, pause the fight and call in a medic to examine
and then? xrays on the mat?
the opponent must hit when he feels pain and not when he has fractured bones or tendons, the rule must change and maintain the integrity of the athlete. there is no way it can be a serious and professional sport if it is not guaranteed by the physical integrity of the fighters.
Does a fighter need to tap out in submission grappling to stop the fight? Can the ref make a judgement call? Mickey said on his post flight that he felt the joints pop. The other guy might have irreparable damage due to not tapping.
In kids jiu-jitsu tournaments, the referee stops it, and it actually expected of him to make a judgement call on whether the submission will succeed, a little while before it is even on, since the kids won't always tap, and thereby protecting them. For adults, the referee does not interfere until there is an actual tap, either by hands, feet, or verbal. If a guy screams in agony, it is also assumed that he has tapped, which in this case, you can see the guy is trying hard to keep his composure. My guess is, severe grimmace from pain would constitute the same. As an adult you're responsible for your own safety in a tournament - the referee only stops it, as some other comments aluded to, when you're unconsious, or there are bodily fluids involved, blood, vomit, urine, etc. because at that point you've lost control of your bodily functions. If you look at the gordon fight, his foot popped, but he also kept a straight face, for the submission to not count.
His foot was facing the other direction while on top. Disgusting. That's not flexibility. That's just conditioned pain management.
Yeah he said he heard it pop like 20 times (?!!), up to him if he wants to continue, nothing is worth permanent damage though damn
The only time I’ve ever seen a ref stop a grappling match is if someone is unconscious or bleeding. At some low level tournaments the ref sometimes stops it if somethings obviously broken. For the small kids, pretty much as soon as the submission is locked in the ref will stop it.
Super annoying that these videos don't play from the beginning of the fight...
Tienen q prohibir esa forma de ganar... con q uno le haga una llave al otro ya es seguro vencedor. Y otra q lesiona de x vida al oponente.
😬 literally my face watching this
When u say full fight, please make it the full fight and start from the beginning
yo que le crei a los comentaristas que era flexible y resulta que quedo con mas lesiones que gago juju
the difference between lose and tap, or lose and injured
And Bayanduuren said that the damage is low and he will be running in a month.....ONE FC really needs to find better are more profesional competitors for it's submission grappling division.
@KaLi DIY i know, i put what Bayanduuren has said after know it.
Latest update by ONE says he completely torn off his knee. MCL, ACL, LCL, meniscus and a broken ankle. Dude should've tapped.
inb4 "Mikey Musumeci should have been nicer and let it go" hahahaha how about tap out?
In my opinion, ONE FC they must gave figth for him, thats so intresting, maybe next fight we will watch rubber arm ? Thats so...
Made me queezy that one fkin hell
Jiu jitsu wins again.
