Parayko is the guy you want for sure. Pietrangelos best years are behind him. We'll be paying for what he's done, not what he'll do. Parayko still has some prime years left on his 5.5 cap hit
I think the team who would be very interested in the skills Johnsson offers is Edmonton most of all. A fast player who can retrieve the puck and puts it where you want it and takes direction. Twitter is not the place to have reasonable fans.
Here’s my issue... The whole reason St Louis would be trading Parayko in the first place is to get the cap relief, why would they even entertain taking back 3.4 mil of that money back essentially only giving them just over a million in relief for a guy who might play on their 3rd or fourth line? Just like every other leaf fan who wants to throw away all the pieces that don’t fit right now for a teams top guy. In order to get value you have to give value when you give some value (1st round pick) but then you add an often hurt Johnson you actually diminish the value of the 1st rounder because of how valuable cap space is now a days. Toronto will be super LUCKY if they could give Johnson away, right now they’d be lucky to get a 6th or 7th rounder , in all seriousness they would likely have to pay a team to take that 3.4M that’s a lot for a maybe 20 goal scorer who’s been hurt . Why would that have ANY value to ST Louis... they’d essentially be swapping Most of Parayko contract with Johnson on their 3rd or 4th like doesn’t seem like a very good deal. it’s a common sense thing. Let’s put this isn’t perspective for a second both teams need the cap relief.
Have you ever watched Blues games? I have, and he is much more physical than you think. Just because he doesn't hit as much as people think, it doesn't mean he isn't physical. That dude moves bodies in front of the net , he hacks and wacks people who come into the danger zones. His blocking is considered physical. Hits are a lame stat that only fantasy hockey owners care about.
Johnsson injury prone and still kinda unproven, Liljegren not proven at all. Parayko is probably one of the most desirable players to have on any team (still youngish, cup champ, absolute stud), so the Blues settling for the Leafs 3rd best prospect and a maybe 2nd liner...I just can't see it. the 1st round pick helps, but the proposed package is just not enough.
Vince Dunn would be an excellent and much more practical pickup for the Leafs. Both elite top 4 defenceman, but St. Louis can't afford all of them, and since St. Louis is still pushing for another Cup, I doubt that they'll let their captain go. They're going to go all in and re-sign him, leaving Dunn up for grabs. He may be another left shot defenceman, but the Leafs need as many top 4 defenceman they can get their hands on. They could definitely try him on the right side or move one of the defenceman to right side too and see if it works.
If Parayko was exposed in the playoffs, was he one of the Blues with Covid? If there are long term effects from it then the Leafs may have to second guess things.
Comparing Dumba to Barrie? Give me a break. Injury prone? A ruptured pectoral muscle fighting Matt Tkachuk is his only injury in 6 years, despite hitting everything in sight.
Blues would be stupid to get rid of Colton, hard shot, great smooth skater for a big guy, and he is still young and only gonna get better. I used to watch him play in college at Alaska Fairbanks. I agree about Faulk, not good defensive and way overpaid!
I'd prefer Parayko than Pietrangelo. Blues made an offer early this week to Pietrangelo (According to Darren Dreger)
I could get behind that deal with, Parayko .

Hello Andrew enjoy your videos as always. Just wondering what’s your take on ‘rumours’ out there regarding Andersen.
I think Travis Harmonic would be excellent for the Leafs. Tough, good hitter, mobile and big shot.
If the Leafs can make this trade, I'm all for it.
I would love to get Parayko but I wouldn't want to part with the 15th overall as if we can draft Schneider who I think will be a beast.
I like this trade... I would take him over the Pietrangelo cap hit!

Yeah I don't think so, especially should the Blues lose Pieterangelo.

I'd like to see the leafs replace Holl with Demelo

My Leafs/Canes HOT TAKE is...

Hard to believe Jake Allen was traded to the Habs to free up cap space... probably so they can trade Parayko to the leafs of course! LOL
