If we paid the same price for a healthy Foligno, we'd all be saying something different about that trade. Paying to much for physicality regulaer season is one thing but paying for it on deadline day is different. Effort exceeds talent every season

Lybushkin or Hakanpaa for the 3rd pairing would fit well. Muzzin needs a puck moving d-man for a partner. If the leafs really want to change things put Muzzin and Holl on the 3rd pairing and get a stay at home guy to play with Sandin on the 2nd pairing.

As Leafs fans Chiarot should be an almost automatic "HELL NO!" for the pure fact he was the one who caused Tavares to get that freak injury last year. Of all the trade rumours I've seen/heard from this show, Steve Dangle pod and DTSB the one I like the most would be trying to acquire Lybushkin & Crouse from Arizona. That I think is the biggest thing the Leafs SHOULD do. Otherwise, keep it to less sexy names like Justin Braun or Luke Schenn. We need more size and meanness on the backend and that SHOULD NOT cost a 1st +. Love the vids and keep it up!

We need 2 RHD Muzzin needs a puck moving partner and Sandin needs a solidified stay at home partner on the third pairing. Liljgren Dermott and Holl are no more than 7th Defenceman and depth when it comes to playoff hockey.

Dubas should be looking at Ottawa's defense, young and can skate.

What are Dubas and brass thinking? Another small skill forward? For what? We have Kerfoot and Robertson (if needed). We need size, heaviness and snarl on the backline, first and foremost.

Chychrun may not be the best fit in terms of physicality or a defense first mindset, but a package of him and Crouse would be a nice deal for the Leafs. He's also on a good contract and is still only 23. Crouse adds some physicality upfront and has a cap friendly deal if they can free some money up. Leafs need to go for it, I'd offer up Liljegren and their 1st to get it started. Maybe add a guy like Schenn to the 3rd pair to add some physicality on the backend.

Sorry Andrew, I feel Robertson is too young and small yet for playoff hockey success. I agree with you on Chiarot. It's a bad move to acquire him. He's just not good enough defensively.

Leafs shot at forward depth just got claimed on waivers (Brooks) Robertson is not your acquisition,he is not good enough,i would trade him and a 2nd for Hagel in a heartbeat. The.D is tough to predict,we have heard all the names being tossed around,and leafs D, as it stands now is not the stuff of cup winners,MR,TJB,both ok,Muzzin looks like he isnt himself,Holl playing poorly,Demott is not inspiring anyone,and 2 rookies.......They need a Dman who can play physical and be a reliable D in the top 4,and i think a guy who can be a 6/7 type who can perform when needed.

Most of the GM's interested in Chiarot don't want to give up a 1st rounder, or he would have been traded by now. Habs can afford to wait this out. Only D-man I would give up a 1st rounder for would be Chychrun. Chiarot would be a mistake, even without a 1st rounder. There are better options. As for Hagel, doubt Hawks want to trade him, but they'll listen to offers. Why not? They might get a crazy offer they can't resist. Leafs need to focus on the D core as the top priority.
