I agree with Justin. They need to make certain coffees to be all year round, I am obsessed with the chestnut latte praline so when it’s gone, I have to wait another year for it. They just don’t have a very big selection when it comes to lattes. Glad y’all are better - my sweet girl had the flu two weeks ago but it was really easy for her. Guess it was type a and I just got over food poisoning that sent me back big time but finally better and my husband didn’t catch anything. ❤

One tradition I use to do with my boys, through out the year when one of the boys did something nice for family or friends, we wrote it on a piece of paper and put it in a jar. On Christmas Eve we would read all the nice things each child did. It was nice to reflect on the year how kind each child was.

Don’t forget to tip your baristas! That’s the best way to say thank you

I love how you bring the birth of Jesus into your Christmas celebrations. I'm not some radical evangelical, but it was an important part of my upbringing. We went to a midnight service on Christmas Eve and woke up to Santa's surprises the next morning.

For the getting rid part....I have my two kids ages 3 + 4 (with my help too) go through their rooms with garbage bags and they have one that is throw away and one that is for little boys and girls who don't have as much. They have both learned sooo much about other kids not having as much and what it means to appreciate the little things. As much as a 3 + 4 year old can!

No worries, Novembers are always weird for many. I think it's a weird month because Halloween is a big holiday and then it jumps right into fast tracking to Thanksgiving and Christmas, also big holidays that require a lot of family planning. It's rather over whelming if you ask me!

Our favorite tradition we've been doing for a few years now, is we go to our Church Christmas Eve service and then get McDonald's and drive around to see Christmas lights. My girls LOVE it. We then go home and read Twas the Night Before Christmas! Family traditions are so fun!

I'm Canadian and it's snowing again today. Yesterday I saw a man getting gas wearing gloves, a jacket similar to yours with a beanie and his hood up and a pair of shorts with steel toe boots. As the kids in my family grew up, Christmas was always at my home and I always had a birthday cake for Jesus amongst the other desserts. One or more of the children would always mention it and tell the others that it was because it was His birthday. A nice tradition.

I don’t have kids yet, but here’s a tradition I heard about that I’ll definitely do when I do. An advent calendar with books so every night during advent you the open a Christmas book (doesn’t necessarily have to be new to them) and read get to read it. And each year on Christmas Eve you get a new book to add to the collection!

We started a new trend this year, take a clear ornament and some ribbon. Measure the ribbon to the height of the children (an ornament per child). Put the ribbon inside the ornament and create a tag that says This ribbon is very special indeed if you measure it you will see how little I was each Christmas Eve! On the back of the tag write the color ribbon and the year so that each year when you add a new ribbon you can keep track of the year
