I admire how calm and composed he stays during an interview! He literally sounds like a 60 year old dad that has 10 kids and all of them are now happy adults. Karen made sure to avoid provocative questions, didn't get triggered or trapped into tricky questions, very respectful and accurate with his statements. Simply so proud and happy he was able to overcome all the obstacles and make sure to get himself back on the track that he belongs to!
@A BC I believe his decision in particular was driven by a tax system for being an athlete and having his earnings from tournaments. It's no surprise many athletes have a residency in Monaco or UAE, since their tax policy is flexible and more convenient for this scenario.
@Anton Rodionov Stinky UAE where it never rains and the city Dubai smells like car exhaust... Ugh. Who in his right mind would want to live a in a barren place...
@Bela McD So true and unfortunate! Although he's a resident of the UAE, having a russian citizenship he still needs to face those questions. The problem is that this question per se is super tricky: "one side is the support of his fans from the country where he was born, and from the other are the fans from all over the world". So happy for him, wishing the best!
@4lugan Indeed! Although we all have some ups and downs, I remember him arguing with the ref, but again, I can relate to that because he's passionate about his job! He's putting an immense effort and works his butt off, so it's reasonable to have that "fighting spirit" and fight for each point like he does. Btw, I tend to forget that he's almost 2m in height! To see such a tall guy move like a super athlete is just mind blowing
Yep, western media doesnt really care about what a russian think, they just want him to say something provocative and they will put it on a clickbait headline.
Love this guy, Karen is ever a class person, happy that he is moving up again.... Artsakh stay strong 💪🦾 best wishes for Karen, hope he makes it to the final 🙏, 💥💥💥 Greetings from Germany 🌈
Finally something about these 150.000 Armenians who are under siege and in danger of being slaughtered in Azerbaijan!! I had no idea that Karen is half Armenian - I simply like his game ! ( Anyway he is best Russian player after Sascha Zverev - I don't care about official ranking ! See what ranking is Novak after he was stolen 4000points for Wimbledon and 2000 for last year AO ( he was defending champion !)
Of course , the ancient monasteries are in danger also ! Everywhere in the world Christian minorities are in danger ! The anti-christians are ruling the world now - they don't care about human rights or children' rights at all ! 😠😡🤕
The treatment of Russian and Belorussian players (by the crowds, media and sometimes organization) is shameful. To all westerners, just like discrimination against Africans isn't good, discrimination against Eastern Europeans is just as bad.
Which one is more nauseating? I don’t understand why the audience discriminate against Africans? Moreover, why does the audience discriminate against Russians? What did these Russians do badly? What ? Being born in the “wrong” country? Come on! We need to discriminate against English tourists or American tourists? No, that makes no sense. Americans and English are welcome here, like everybody else.
Thank you for bringing to light the genocidal intentions of Azerbaijan and Turkey toward the Armenian people and the plight of the 120,000 Armenians who are now under blockade under severe winter freezing conditions in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) whereby they have been deprived of gas, electricity, foods, goods and services.
My God, would be a day that we finish this wore with these 2 primitive countries and our people one day live in peace ✌️☮️ and happiness ❤️❤️❤️ Artsakh stay strong 💪 and love you Karen, hope you make it to final 🙏💥💥💥
Every player should have right to play under her/his country's flag. One cannot choose the country of one's birth. ATP/Tennis Australia, stop this nonsense and do not mix sport with politics. It's not even childish... it's insane. Wars are run by politicians not sportsmen/sportswomen. Why during the invasion of Iraq, 20 year bombing of Afghanistan not to mention the genocidal Vietnam war US, Australian, UK... athletes were allowed to compete under their national flag? For example; are Israeli (Para-)olympians responsible for the policy of their government towards Palestinians? *** All wars are equal, but some wars are more equal than others.
@Helena Trela Thank you for support. Let's hope Russian/Belorussian female and male players make it to the final to ultimately embarrass ATP/AO decision makers.
for the love of God, can someone please sort out the sound/stereo issues on the audio? The journo's come through the right ear and the players come through the left ear. It feels really unbalanced and annoying!
Don't you think it's kind of cool I mean I'm just listening on my tablet I never heard it but I think you'll be cool to get one of your left ear I mean to be something different can you look at it positively for that few seconds it's interacting in your lifetime experience
Since the Second World War, the United States has unleashed about 200 wars around the world. Washington's actions in North Korea, Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and other countries have caused large-scale tragedies that have claimed many lives. Under the pretext of "humanitarian interventions," the United States destroyed the established order there, brought disasters and misfortunes to these lands. Why do American athletes compete under their own flag? Why don't they ask political questions?
Yes, this!👏🏼 The Americans, the Brits, the Aussies even, are the worst warmongers of recent years.. but of course their players aren't questioned, because the "journalists" asking the Russians the worst questions are also mostly American, British etc.. the bigots protect their own🙄 Absolute hypocrisy..
Well, when a Vietnamese girl wins Olimpics AA gold for USA and a Chinese boy wins skating Olimpics gold with Chinese flag as a shirt , they don't need to ask political questions ! I was very touched by Kristy Yamaguchi the golden skater of USA , when she told about her family kept in a prisoner-like camp shortly after WW2 ( and the Americans sent 2 atomic bombs over Japanese civilians : women, kids - old persons , didn't matter ) 🧐🤔
Хороший тенессист, приятный человек ☝️🎾
I really like how he is so clever and clear in his answers especially about Wimbledon and Armenia.
Hats off Khachanov 👏

Awesome job by Karen Hemsworth!!
exactly...
Back to back semifinals for Karen impressive!
The treatment of Russian and Belorussian players (by the crowds, media and sometimes organization) is shameful. To all westerners, just like discrimination against Africans isn't good, discrimination against Eastern Europeans is just as bad.
@Ar Chuk dont see anyone saying Tiafoe or Korda arent really american because of their ethnicity
although hes not really Russian, hes an ethnic Armenian.
Because they see them as enemies. You cant sell a war to the public against people who you think are nice.
Which one is more nauseating? I don’t understand why the audience discriminate against Africans? Moreover, why does the audience discriminate against Russians? What did these Russians do badly?
